Hill’s 1000 Paws 2019 – counting down the days

We are almost there! Join us on the lovely walks around the grounds of Hilton College on Sunday 14 July at this year’s Hill’s 1000 Paws Walk for SPCA. As always, the funds raised will be shared between the three participating SPCA branches: Mooi River & District, Umngeni-Howick, and Pietermaritzburg.

Gates open at 8am and there is a lot to do, even if you don’t feel like doing the 2km or 4km walks. Enjoy tasty treats in the SPCA tea tent, applaud the arena events with dog agility demonstrations and displays by the Bruntville Dog Project and Funda Nenja, and tap along to the stirring sounds of the Caledonian Pipe Band.

Try your luck to see if you win the plate challenge, with a sniffer dog choosing your plate! A highlight will be the natural horsemanship show by Zecks Samu and his once bad-boy horse, Viceroy. Zecks uses love and skill to get this half a ton of equine to do all sorts of magic!

Come along and share the day and help us help our animals!
